  1. Feb 14,  · referencing On The Other Side Of Dub, LP, Album, SOL My copy of this LP has 12 tracks, although all of the artwork states that there are ten tracks. It has the Cat No: SOL on the labels and the Cat No: SOL on the sleeve/5(74).

  2. Feb 14,  · Side 2 track 1 is Graveyard Skank, the dub of Barnabus Collins. Again this is not credited. On my copy there are 6 tracks per side, so it is B5 and B6 that have swapped positions/5(9).

Good thing we have the world wide web. I found the mystery 8 Where Eagles Dwell 9 Dentist Dub 10 Collie Rock 11 Roots Style.

  6. This is one of reggae s essential dee-jay albums, and Lone Ranger is one of the founding fathers of the dancehall dee-jay business. Ranger recorded big hits for Studio One and was one of the artists responsible for the label s renaissance in the early eighties. The album contains nine top deejay performances as well as eight Studio One dubs/5(4).

  7. though the rythms on "on the other side of dub", are not fully realized dance hall, they do follow the template: redo some classic hits (in this case, studio one tracks) and add some updated lyrics. but don't be detracted; this album will shake your sound system. the lone ranger set the standard for jamaican djs heading into the s. his lyrics sound fresh and inspired, and, over the rocking /5(7).

  9. The Lone Ranger's debut Studio One album was so titled because the second side featured dub cuts of the 'toasts' on the first. Presumably, Dodd had this in the can for quite a while before releasing it in , as it misses the big dancehall hits, but it stands as a good set of next cuts to Studio One Rhythms that go beyond the obvious ones.
